Elie Kassab will share "America Helped Make Me What I Am", his story of immigrating to the United States from Lebanon. Kassab, who taught himself to be a master jeweler and owned a jewelry business in Portland for decades before moving to Vancouver, is president of Prestige Development and Prestige Cinemas. "I was at the right place, at the right time, with the right people in my life, and with a lot of hard work, and little luck, and the guidance from above, and the love of my mother and father, and of the USA, to which I am very grateful for giving me the opportunity to serve my family, community and church," Elie says. Kassab has been deeply involved in the creating the fabric of Vancouver and Clark County over the years and has been instrumental in organizations including the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, Identity Clark County, and the Vancouver sister-city relationship with Joyo Japan. Nayla Kassab will introduce Elie at this meeting. Comments are closed.
