Our own Rick Wickizer will deliver his own presentation, "The power of love in the marketplace – The foundation to purpose & profitability". The key points in his discussion will share:
Last night, members of the Rotary Club of Three Creeks helped serve the Frassati Dinner at St. James Catholic Church in downtown Vancouver. It was a humbling honor to serve dinner to those in need.
Thank you to members Susanne & Nelson Holmberg, Shirley Gross, Scot Brantley (and his wife Ashley), Jolene Nelson, Jessie Harris, Daniel Spanski-Dreffin, Tina Vlachos (who organized the effort for our club), and Lisa Abrahamsson. Additional thanks go out to a potential new member of our club who participated last night, Catherine Kroll. The Rotary Club of Three Creeks will provide volunteers to serve The Frassati Dinner at St. James Catholic Church on Thursday, Oct. 26. Volunteers are asked to meet on site between 4:30-4:45 p.m. There is a need for 7-8 volunteers for this dinner. The church is located at 218 W 12th St, Vancouver, WA.
This service project is a 1.5-2 hour commitment to serve dinner to the homeless/needy at St. James Church. Volunteers serve as runners to 1) set up place mats as those being served come and go throughout the evening. 2) Grab them a beverage (usually water or lemonade and coffee). 3) Grab a food tray and have the food handlers dish up a dinner, and then take the trays to our assigned tables to those who are eating. 4) Pick up the table area as the guests finish eating so someone else can be seated and do it again. The dinner is served from 5-6 p.m., so we should be finished by shortly after 6 p.m. If you plan to make an impact by helping, please email Tina Vlachos to let her know you will be there. |
